National Victims’ Association

We provide a comprehensive advocacy, advice, counselling, peer support and respite events to families bereaved through murder or manslaughter, and are widely regarded by many Government Ministers, statutory agencies, Police forces and Churches as one of the leading charities specialising in this field of work. This website provides details of our work and our campaigns on behalf of bereaved families.

At no time in NVA’s history, have we received any core funding from any government and we survive only through the generosity of a small number of philanthropists, trusts and foundations, and through the dedication of our unwaged volunteers.

"I have seen the National

Victims' Association grow from a regional charity into a national support organisation, providing services to families of homicide which are not available from any other source."

Metropolitan Police

"I'm delighted that the National Victims' Association exists because it provides an

understanding of victims' needs which is beyond the skill and training of a Police Officer."

The National Victims' Association uniquely understands the needs

of families bereaved through homicide because its members have all gone through the identical trauma."
